How Tiger should occupy his time while he’s rehabbing
The pain finally caught up to Tiger Woods.
Just two days after he beat Rocco Mediate in a U.S. Open playoff Monday, it was announced that Tiger Woods will miss the remainder of the season to undergo surgery on his ACL while also rehabbing a double stress fracture on his left tibia.
This comes two months after he had surgery to clean out cartilage in his left knee and two weeks after he suffered a double stress fracture on his left tibia.
With Woods likely out of competitive golf until January 2009, what will he do to occupy his time?
So glad you asked. Here are TSC’s suggestions:
1. Teach Sam Alexis to golf. The legend of Tiger Woods began shortly after he was born. A child prodigy, Woods putted against comedian Bob Hope on TV when he was 2. Yesterday was Sam Alexis’ first birthday. Think Tiger got her a set of baby clubs? Though she can’t talk yet, it’s not a bad idea to get her going early.
2. Make sweet, sweet love to his wife, Elin Nordegren, a former Swedish model. Enough said.
3. Spend time with his family in this mansion in Hawaii, which he reportedly owns. Enjoy the good life and revisit No. 2 often.
4. Think of more flavors for Gatorade Tiger. He’s already got Red Drive (cherry), Cool Fusion (citrus blend) and Quiet Storm (grape blend). We’re thinking Moneybags Melon or Fist-Pump Peach.
5. Take up classes at Stanford. After spending two years as a Cardinal, Woods decided to go pro. Good idea for his pocketbook and the history of golf, but is having literally hundreds of millions of dollars as valuable as that itty bitty diploma? Wasn’t he ever taught the value of an education and having a proverbial “backup plan” when sports fails him? Think of the children, Tiger! Think of the children.
6. Have a competition with Roger Federer and Thierry Henry to see who can grow the longest beard. First one to get their Gillette endorsement taken away wins.

I think he should learn how to ride a motorcycle too. Just for kicks.
