Another development in Brandon Jennings’ future at Arizona makes worthy of yet another sports-related soap opera labeled with ‘gate.’
In this case, JenningsGate 2008 will hit peak velocity on Thursday, when the highly-touted class of 2008 guard gets his SAT scores back.
Newly hired Arizona assistant coach Mike Dunlap told the Arizona Daily Wildcat: “We’re trying to see what our options are if Jennings doesn’t pass the SAT. “When it gets right down to it, we don’t control that outcome. But what we can control are, What are our options from that point?”
But even if he does score high enough to meet NCAA eligibility requirements, there’s always the possibility that Jennings could still catch Crazy Euro Orgy Fever.
Gary Parris of CBS Sports talked to his academic advisor; she confirmed such possibility. The New York Times thinks he’ll be a ‘trendsetter.’ Either way, TSC cultivated our Top 5 reasons why standout high school ballers shouldn’t go overseas.
5) Air pollution is bad: Can’t say an overcrowded continent will help those concerns. In Tucson, you can actually see the stars at night.
4) Funny stuff in the crotch region: Allow this headline “Sexually transmitted diseases: On the rise in Europe” to explain our concerns.
3) The Revolutionary War: Umm… last time I checked, it’s 1-0 America. Fuck yeah.
2) Imagine being surrounded by people that talk like Simon from American Idol . . . nonstop.
1) The Bubonic Plague: Condoms can’t even prevent this one.
