As a college student without classes on Friday, I fully support Utah and its effort to strengthen the economy, save energy and make people happier. Or simply put — eliminate Friday from the stating rotation.

By lengthening the workday to 10 hours, Utah will be the first state to cut Friday from its workweek for government employees. By doing so, the move is believed to save commuting costs and eliminate Friday morning hangovers in the workplace. Sure seems like a hell of a lot better plan than this idiot’s.

No word on whether the Jazz will opt out of playing at EnergySolutions Arena on Friday. Sources close to the state also say that Monday is now on the hot seat on Utah’s cost-cutting agenda.
