It’s not the downright Stalker Status that MySpace first introduced, but Facebook can still get really, really creepy.

Take “poking” for instance. There’s a group on Facebook that accurately describes the motifs that all pokers entail: “Enough poking, let’s just have sex.” That’s the mindset behind it, and for some, it’s worked a time or two.

Now since Facebook has opened its registration to the real world — the same path those MySpace news stories took — there’s going to be some shady areas of the poking feature.

Phelps probably wants her

For those of you who felt a little less manly when watching the women’s swimming events at the Olympics — it’s okay, most of them could probably kill you in an arm wrestling match.

Then there’s Stephanie Rice. She’s the Alicia Sacramone of the pool.

Rice, an Audtrailian, received her first-ever Olympic medal in Beijing, placing first in the 400m individual medley.

TEMPE — Police say members of an Arizona State University fraternity vomited milk from a campus bridge onto cars below, causing a crash that injured two people.

Tempe police Sgt. Steve Carbajal said Wednesday that the vomit caused one car to stop in the road, and another car smashed into it from behind. [link]
