Bobby and Sandy throw 'em down together.
You know what’s funny? When you’re kicking it at your boss’s house, listening to some tunes, hanging with your friends and tossing some brewskies back. Then out of nowhere, a giant snake walks — yes WALKS — through the front door.
Introducing Sandy the Sidewider, the mascot for the recently departed Tucson Sidewiders baseball team — the AAA farm team for the Diamondbacks.
It was Sandy’s last hoorah, a toast to the city that gave him so many great memories. Sure, the Sidewiders will be in Reno next year, but it won’t be the same.
Days after the Sidewinders’ final game of the season, Sandy sat on a street corner in Tucson, begging for anything to keep him going.
Which proves at least one point: Sandy the Sidewinder is a real man at heart. A good ball game, a red cup and a hot dog is all it takes to make him happy.
God bless America.
