Who doesn't want to look at me? Oh yeah, everyone.
Quick. What do you think is the least watched NBA team?
Oklahoma City Thunder, right? After all, with their team name and 2-16 record, they’re basically a WNBA team. But no. Not even close.
In fact, the Charlotte Bobcats (5-12) are the least watched team, having the worst TV ratings. Why in the world wouldn’t your eyes be glued to Adam Morrison, aka, the dirtiest looking player in the league?
The ratings mark a 65 percent drop from last year’s Bobcats’ numbers for the same time period. Sixty-five percent!
Can you imagine what life would be like if other things went down by 65 percent?
- The average NBA ticket would drop from $51.02 to $18.86
- Barry Bonds wouldn’t have 762 home runs; he’d have 267
- The average cost of gas would drop from $1.89 to $.66 cents
- The number of new MySpace members per day would drop from 300,000 people to 105,000
- LeBron James’ career scoring average would plummet from 27.4 points to 9.59 points per game
- Joe Paterno, who is 82, would just under 29 years old
- The 44 percent of American women with a size B cup would be dwindled down to 17.4 percent
- The 37,633 people who attended games at Fenway Park during the 2008 season would have be sliced down to 13,172
- Instead of averaging 225 hits per season over the past eight seasons, Ichiro would have 79 hits per year
- Michael Phelps wouldn’t have even won three medals in Beijing this past summer
- The Yankees wouldn’t have won 26 World Series wins; they’d have nine.
