Barry Bonds still in denial

A new meaning to the term, "alone in left field"

The man is summoned into the big office to stand in front of the big desk where the big boss sits. He knows he is in big trouble.

And when the big F-word is uttered, “fired,” it becomes the biggest deal in the world to make sure that the world knows the employee wasn’t just fired. He quit, first.

Barry bonds is doing the same thing. There are 30 MLB teams. Not one of them wants him. He’s seemingly retired. But he has had a hard time admitting it.

“I’m not retiring,” Bonds said Saturday night. “I’m not retiring.”

Well, Mr. Bonds, you may not be in the process of retiring, sure. But you know what? You’re as good as retired right now. Go get a day job.
