UPDATE: Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis wants to move on — desperately — from more than one embarrassment.

After last season’s disastrous 3-9 season, Weis took a lesson out of the Bill Belichick School of Press Conferences today, repeatedly using the phrase “let’s move on” when asked about an assortment of topics.

“We’re not saying one word about last season,” Weis said at a media conference today. “It’s August 2008. There is not one word. You will not hear one word out of anyone about 2007. It’s August 2008. I’ll answer any questions about August 2008.”

But Coach- what about the off-season, when starting quarterback Jimmy Clausen played in the Beer Olympics?
