Would You Beat: Oregon women’s basketball pride
Editor’s Note: The Sports Culture debuts another weekly series, “Would You Beat,” where we showcase women in sports and let you throw down the stamp of approval or not.
The first edition of “Would You Beat” comes from The Town That Nike Built: Eugene, Ore., home of the University of Oregon Ducks. While NCAA women’s basketball typically gets a bad rap for attractiveness, we’d like to begin with TSC’s Stamp Of Approval on this baller — far, far from being associated with any ugly ducks.
This sophomore averaged 12.7 points per game as the go-to 3-point shooter last season. She was also one of six players named to the Pac-10 All-Tournament team, averaging 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in San Jose, Calif.
After the jump, further evidence. We approve — do you? Voice your comments.
