Shia Labeouf has disgraced himself and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The star of Transformers has apologized for saying the word “faggot” on a video that made its way onto the Internet last week.

 
Labeouf’s rep told E! News, “The videotape that is currently being circulated is several years old and captures Shia playing a game among friends in which he uses a derogatory word toward a friend. He regrets having used the word in any capacity and is very embarrassed that this footage is being seen by anyone.”

Does he really have to beg the public for forgiveness because he apathetically tossed out a word when he was a lil tipsy? Are you going to boycott one of the greatest movies out there and demand that he see a shrink and get sensitivity lessons? We all say things that we don’t mean, especially when we have Captain Morgan thinking for us. Get off his nuts. He was just being a kid.

Some say that because of the shirt he was wearing, it is bad for the Dodgers. Some are relating it to Grey’s Anatomy’s Isaiah Washington. But don’t you think that there are Dodger fans that use even worse words when they’re heckling the San Francisco Giants? And don’t you think that Washington was probably in a better frame of mind – not to mention a more mature state – and didn’t drop the verbal bomb while he was being filmed by a mini cam in the process of getting slapped by his drunk pal? Washington was very aware of his surroundings. It was done in a mean-spirited way and then he lied about it.

Labeouf hugged his buddy after he was slapped like a little bitch. Hate speech typically doesn’t generate hugs.

Do the math for crying out loud!

Labeouf was a 17-year-old kid doing what normal 17-year-old kids do. Well, at least when they get kinda saucy. The word right he used right after the “F bomb” was “dog.” Yes, this is definitely 17-year-old verbiage we’re talking about here.

The only person who should be sorry is the kid who filmed this event. And Labeouf should kick his ass.
