If Amaré Stoudemire was going to miss the Phoenix Suns’ preseason intrasquad scrimmage, at least he was going to do it looking good. Good thing there’s this picture for him to look at later because he can’t see very well right now.

The gold-trimmed Louis Vuitton sunglasses, Stoudemire said, were not a fashion statement. Instead, he was forced to wear glasses indoors because his right eye is still sensitive to light.

The Suns center was poked in the eyeball by teammate Boris Diaw in a Wednesday night scrimmage and suffered a torn iris.

The name of the new look, dubbed by Stoudemire himself: AMARÉVISION.

It really doesn’t get more badass than that.
