Maybe we’ve been a little critical on this whole new Rays Nation thing.

It’s just a little weird, witnessing a whole slue of bandwagoners emerge in a matter of months. At least with the Red Sox in 2004, there was the entire off-season as a grace period before the pink hats began full force.

See this mid-season free-for-all almost deludes the Rays success story. There’s nothing worse than hearing obnoxiously fake Tamponians talk smack and wave around annoying cowbells — all while asking “who’s up at the plate?” Either way, we’ve been pretty consistent with documenting the douches that dub themselves fans. (Exhibit A, Exhibit B)
