Barry Zito’s newest song isn’t so great

August 6th, 2009 Trance 1 comment

em_zitoTheDirty.com never ceases to amaze us. On Thursday Nic Richie posted the world debut of Barry Zito’s unreleased song, “A Man’s Gotta Do What a Man’s Gotta Do.” The title holds true to Zito’s life, we guess. After all, baseball isn’t working for him. The man who once threw the sickest 12-to-6 curveball is 7-10 this season with a 4.47 ERA. Maybe music is his ticket back to reality, even though he sounds like a drunk John Mayer who was just hit by a bus.

So, maybe not.

Nothing better as a retired Major League Baseball player than to take a morning stroll in the park, read the newspaper twice, watch your favorite soap operas and get some delicious frozen yogurt. Such is the life of Barry Bonds it seems.

Reporter in teleconference: ‘I’m not sure what I’m talking about’

This wasn’t quite as epic as Pete Carroll getting pranked on the infamous Pac-10 teleconference line. But when a reporter asks Cal coach Mike Montgomery about the “disappointments” of his 21-7 season, it merits a spot in the Teleconference Hall of Shame.

Let’s get Physical … with an “F”!

February 18th, 2009 brett 1 comment

The San Fransisco 49ers recently took the interim off now head coach Mike Singletary, but apparently the new contract didn’t come with a spelling 101 class.

In a recent interview with the media, when asked about his defenses tendency to hold back on plays, Singletary spoke about his philosophy on defense saying that his teams was going to be, “physical with an F.”

Here’s a real word with an F: What the fuck? Did he really think physical was spelled with an ‘F’? He couldn’t have right? Or is physical spelled with an ‘F’ because of what he wants his defense to do to the offense they’re playing against?
