Professional basketball in Charlotte has seen better days, but the Bobcats did show some improvement last year and only finished 12 games under .500 (ouch). Maybe in the efforts to return to the glory days of 1998, when the team was the Charlotte Hornets, the Bobcats have added pinstripes to their new uniforms. The unis weren’t supposed to be released for a month, but they leaked out early in a photo shoot. Well, the Bobcats are never the center of attention anyway, so the picture above is the best it’s going to get.
America, are you ready for your fourth No. 1 team in as many weeks? After last night’s top-gun takedown, UConn will be brewing on tap come Monday.
NO RUSH TO RUSH: Was it really necessary to storm the floor? Common, Wake Forest. You’re the No. 4-ranked team in America playing at home. I don’t care if Duke was ranked -1 and favored to win the Super Bowl on Sunday, no top-5 team should ever rush the court of field, unless your school broke a 10-year losing streak to an arch rival.

For the love of America’s non-North Carolina residents, is it really necessary to start hyping up the Duke-UNC rivalry months in advance?
These screengrab from CBSSports.com shows a countdown to the Feb. 11 game located above the main college basketball headlines. It’s one thing to say Duke-UNC is one of sports greatest rivalries. It’s another to literally put the teams above college basketball itself.
Most interesting, though, is the fact that it’s on CBSSports.com, despite the game being aired on ESPN. Although, the March 8 meeting between the two schools will be aired on CBS. Either way, national media: Please stop this shit.
