LeBron dunks on reindeer

December 21st, 2009 Trance No comments

Nike has released a new video with the LeBron James and Kobe Bryant puppets just in time for Christmas. In this video, we learn three very important things that make it easier to live life, now that we know:

1. Reindeer play basketball

2. Reindeer, much like white men, can’t jump.

3. Santa Claus is black.

LeBron, Kobe puppets are back

December 10th, 2009 Trance No comments

This is our favorite piece of Nike marketing in a long time. Perfectly priceless.

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant in puppet form, driving down the highway, discussing the power of a Black Mamba.

James: I got two words for you: King of the Jungle.

Grady Sizemore’s name makes sense now

December 1st, 2009 Trance No comments

Grady SizeMORECleveland Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore has finally lived up to his name.

He and his girlfirend, Playboy Playmate Brittany Binger, broke up, and pictures that he had sent to her were leaked onto the Internet.

The Indians issued a statement:

“We fully support Grady as he deals with this personal matter. The posted photos were stolen from his girlfriend’s email account and a legal investigation is under way.”

TheDirty has more photos of Sizemore for our lady readers. And the curious dudes, of course.

Shaq looking to continue cop duties in Cleveland

October 29th, 2009 Trance 2 comments

Officer ShaqOfficer Shaquille O’Neal has brought his rebounding skills and his badge to Cleveland.

10-4, good buddy.

From the AP:

Spokesman John O’Brien of the Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County sheriff’s office says the Cavs center has applied to become a special deputy. He would have the right to carry a gun and make arrests but not be a paid, formal employee.

O’Neal previously served roles with law enforcement agencies in Arizona, Virginia and Florida.

The sheriff has forwarded the application to the state agency that must consider the request to deputize O’Neal.

State Attorney General Holly Hollingsworth says that if approved, O’Neal would need 36 hours of police training and would have to take the Ohio police exam.

Shaq’s Cavs teammate Delonte West just shit his pants.

Does LeBron have Swine Flu?

October 15th, 2009 Trance 1 comment

LeBronThere is more testing going on with the Cleveland Cavaliers than a high school chemistry lab.

LeBron James recently spent two days sick in bed, and then he came back to practice and freaked his teammates out.

“You come back around and everyone is like, ‘Ugh, you got the cooties,’ ” James told ESPN Thursday. “They don’t want to be around you.”

LBJ and two of his Cavalier teammates have tested positive for Influenza A and they’re being treated as if they have Swine Flu, which is a “strain of Influenza A.” James said he may have gotten the flu from a shot he recently received to prevent the swine flu. Tests are being run to see if he does in fact have H1N1.

Meanwhile Cavs guard Delonte West is being treated for bipolar disorder. That’s not a joke.

For the team that had arguably the best chemistry in the NBA last season, this could be a test for Shaq: You sure this is what you want, Diesel?

LeBron says he could play in the NFL

October 13th, 2009 Trance No comments

LBJ FootballE-mail: State Farm is promoting LeBron’s More Than a Game documentary, and they are releasing rare and never-before-seen footage from LeBron’s high school days over the next few weeks. … Anyways, the newest one that just went up is actually a recent video in which he  proclaims:  “If I wanted to, I could quit basketball and play in the NFL.” Unlike (Braylon) Edwards, LeBron actually catches the ball in the video. — Aaron

Thanks for the heads up, Aaron. Maybe the Cleveland Browns can use LeBron at tight end every now and then. Lord knows they could use the help of anyone at this point.
