‘Free Agent’ signing? He’s far from free.

The ‘Agent Zero’ himself, Gilbert Arenas wants six zeroes, to be exact. Added bonus: he might actually leave room the Wizards to sign other players by ‘settling’ for $100 million. Maybe.

That’s what six figures looks like. Although Arenas has also said “he doesn’t want to hamstring the team’s ability to sign other players.” A new report from ESPN.com says the Wizards and Warriors — now with cap room from a free Baron Davis — have offered max contracts, $120 million, to Arenas.

Davis surprisingly opted out of his deal at Golden State, and has now verbally agreed to a five-year deal with the Clippers, worth an estimated $65 million, according to ESPN. Looks like newly drafted PG Eric Gordon will get a mentor at the 1.
