Obama: The product of two fathers?

September 3rd, 2008 Trance No comments

This is completely un-sports related, but Americans need to be informed. According to Terry Moran from “Nightline,” the next president of the United States could be an inter-racial child of two men.

The hardest part about rollerblading

Can we just hurry this up? I wanna get out there on the beach, you know? Let’s have some fun, get the blades going.

Our NBA wedding pics not approved by lesbians

August 14th, 2008 Reezy 2 comments

UPDATE: Remember those wedding photos of Mo’ Evans, his NBA bros, and their respective bridesmaids? After posting them earlier this week, we’ve received a little spike on the traffic meter.

And as one of the perks on this great Internet frontier, we’re able to see who links to what, where, when, and why — like Clue, sans the candlestick.

Apparently those photos didn’t settle well with the lesbian community — or at least, the “L Anonymous” forums, a lesbian “gossip and wit” message board.

Sure, that message board couldn’t tell the difference between Loren Woods from Tiger Woods, but at least everybody here agreed that the ladies looked fine, sexy, and beautiful — especially Bynum’s blonde — to say the least.

Different opinion in the gay community.

Know how I know you’re gay . . .

August 6th, 2008 Reezy No comments

It may have been a punchline in “40 Year Old Virgin,” but in the name of Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady is far, far from gay.

With that disclaimer, new reports today reveal that Brady not only listens to Coldplay, but according to the Inside Track, the song “Death and All His Friends” is actually dedicated to the New England Patriots quarterback.

Brady’s British rock devotion goes so deep that he even skipped out of a late practice to catch the 10 p.m. Coldplay concert at the Garden.

According to a music blog called meanspeed.com, the Pats QB has an iTunes playlist that starts off with Coldplay’s mega-hit “Speed of Sound,” and he’s been a “fan of the band for years now.”

Brady told the meanspeed blogger that he can be caught “patiently waiting for every album. Each has been better than the last.”

Other songs yet to be confirmed:

  • Madonna dedicated “Be Careful With My Heart” to A-Rod.
  • Aerosmith dedicated “Dude Looks Like A Lady” to Sasha Vujacic
  • Black Sabath dedicated “Crazy Train” to Dontrelle Willis
  • DJ Unk dedicated “Walk It Out” to Manny Ramirez
  • Fergie dedicated “Big Boys Don’t Cry” to T.O.
  • Good Charlotte dedicated “Moving On” to Brett Favre

Things were getting a little too Vujacicy lately

July 25th, 2008 Reezy No comments

There’s no better modern-day sensation than turning nouns into verbs. Example one:

Dude1: “Yo, bro, let’s ball it up at the Rec center.”
Dude2: “Ya man, let me just motorboat this chick first.”

In both instances, ball and motorboat are both nouns. Such new, expanded vocabulary allows us to express our thoughts and actions through more creative and practical means.

Which leads us to this exchange:

Dude3: “That dude was waaaaay too Vujacicy for me.”
Dude4: “Ya, the popped collar, tight jeans and douchebag hair product could make even Sasha cringe.”

Technically, Bill Simmons coined this term in a recent podcast — not that we listen. Nevertheless, the verb “vujacicy” describes a “fruity” or “flamboyant” person and/or personality. For those keeping score, it derives from the 2008 NBA Finals, when word got around that Sasha Vujacic wore a headband per the recommendation of the Lakers’ cheerleading coach.

Today, the La la Times reports that Sasha might be taking his act eastward over the pond, amidst a recent ‘trend’ set fourth by founding fathers Brandon Jennings and Josh Childress.

Great for you, Sasha. I think Europe would welcome the whole “Vujacicy” motion more than Americans Celtics fans. Europe just seems more accepting to the metro style. Or maybe it’s just because Tim Hardaway calls this land his home.

Spanning the globe for interesting tidbits

June 11th, 2008 Reezy No comments

Our findings all set nicely in a picnic basket, sorted as The Big Three:

  • Kobe Bryant, slightly gay basketball player. He got a manicure before Game 2. PS: His wife’s right tit looks funky in the corresponding picture. (The Big Lead) Then again, it’s the same thing Michael Jordan did when he was in his prime. Maybe gay is OK.
  • Troy Percival still resorts to the “Your Mom” jokes ever so often — at fans. (Deadspin).
  • News item: Man drove around drunk in effort to sober up so his mom wouldn’t be mad at him coming home hammered. Cops booked him for a DUI, and it’s a true story. (Barstool Sports)
